Marketing and Corporate Partnerships Manager of The Alliance for Coney Island
Trey Jenkins is the Alliance's Marketing and Corporate Partnerships Manager. Trey is responsible for overseeing marketing efforts and managing corporate partnerships with an emphasis on revenue streams to support programming. Trey has corporate partnership marketing experience with several companies in the entertainment, television, and sports industry.
Executive Director of The Alliance for Coney Island
Johanna Zaki is the Executive Director of the Alliance, having served previously as the organization's Director of Operations. Johanna is charged with overseeing all day-to-day operations of the entity, including marketing, promotions, and programming. She has years of experience in the amusement industry and in Coney Island.
Jen Gapay is the mastermind behind Thirsty Girl Productions, an alias that serves her well as the producer of hundreds of music, burlesque and variety shows. She was voted the #1 Most Influential Non-Performing Woman in Burlesque by 21st Century Burlesque in 2013 & 2014. Gapay started The New York Burlesque Festival in 2003 (with Angie Pontani) and The New York Boylesque Festival in 2012 and The Seattle Boylesque Festival (with Daniel Nardicio) in 2015. All three festivals are multi-day, multi-venue events featuring a cavalcade of international performers showcasing for sold out crowds.
Gapay was the Promotions Director at Village Voice, from 2000-2003 while there she created and produced Siren Music Festival at Coney Island, a blockbuster event that drew record crowds in its first two years. She was also the Special Events Director of Astroland Amusement Park from 2003-2008, and currently produces special events for Deno’s Wonder Wheel Park. In 2010, Thirsty Girl founded and produced The Coney Island Talent Show, now in its seventh year. She is also the Associate Producer of the PBS-aired documentaryLast Summer at Coney Island, and has organized benefits for Coney Island USA, The Coney Island History Project and Save Coney Island. Magic Brian has been entertaining young and old for over 20 years. He has performed on stage and street in 18 countries, toured with the Brooklyn based Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, and has produced and hosted variety shows in venues throughout New York City. He is very excited to be part of the team to finally bring a street theater festival back to New York City.
Sara Valentine is event producer and performer based in New York City. She’s danced and played her way into audiences’ hearts across the United States, Europe, Brazil, and most recently Australia, twirling her baton high, keeping her feet agile and her beats on point with ensembles such as Hungry March Band and Batala. Active since 1993 as an independent curator and promoter, she currently is the lead steward for HONK NYC!, an annual week-long street band extravaganza. She most recently served on the production team for the inaugural Union Station Busker Fest in Denver, CO and is thrilled to work with Thirsty Girl Productions, Magic Brian and The Alliance for Coney Island on making the first-ever Coney Island Busker Fest a reality. www.saravalentine.org
